Birthed from the Old Skool Rave & Trade group on Facebook, the OSRT Recordings label unveils it's debut release, 'OSRT Recordings Volume 1'. Featuring four of hottest contemporary artists producing authentically oldskool sounding breakbeat hardcore and jungle tekno, Beardy, dJ fLow, Fav and Worldwide Epidemic, volume one comes available in limited edition 12" vinyl and digital formats, and will be pressed once enough pre-orders are made to cover the cost of vinyl production. All profits after production costs will be donated towards the extremely worthy MIND mental health charity ( http://www.mind.org.uk/ ), and if that wasn't enough incentive to tempt you to purchase a copy, then all persons who pre-order will also get their name printed on the label too.

Onto the music now, DJ fLow , known for his releases on the likes of Kutt Off Records, Rave Stylee and Paranoid Recordings, as well as DJ slots at legendary events such as Dreamscape and Fantazia, delivers a drum & bass meets 1992-style hardcore hybrid with 'In The Air', a glorious combination of rolling breaks, euphoric synth riffs, pitched up vocals and harsh hoover stabs. Beardy (aka original oldskool artist Detox & The Mighty Atom) starts off the proceedings by introducing us to the 'Smasher (Big Jam Mix)'. A track which does exactly as it states on the tin by dropping heavyweight, pitch alternating amens over a twisted, monstrous bassline contrasted by gorgeous, uplifting female vocals.

Pioneer of the early noughties, breakeat hardcore revival and owner of the legendary Hardcore Will Never Die website and label, DJ Fav presents to us yet another of his trademark slices of punishing, amen-fuelled darkcore packed full to the brim with menacing atmospherics and brutal, brain-mangling mentasm riffs. To bring the collection to a prefect close, Worldwide Epidemic (of Paranoid Recordings, 7th Storey Projects, Paranoid Recordings fame) leads us from the rough to the smooth with 'Brutality (Instrumental Mix)', a meticulously crafted jungle tekno masterpiece which sounds as if it could be mistaken for being a long lost Basement Records/Smooth Recordings dub from '93-'94.

If you have a passion for modern jungle/breakbeat hardcore tunes with a heavy focus on retaining that original oldskool authenticity, then 'OSRT Recordings Volume 1' will prove to be an essential addition to your music collection.

The 'OSRT Recordings Volume 1' EP is now available to pre-order from the OSRT Bandcamp page for £11.99 (plus Postage & Packaging), and once production costs are covered, the release will expected to be ready for delivery in May 2017.
